Train station neighborhood The new train station neighborhood has been thought out as a place in which to reside, to study and to work. Over time, a new living place will propose new lodgings, office space, hotels and restaurants, shops, higher education facilities and more practical and better showcased public spaces. Saint-Vincent square Located at the foot of the royal château, the Carré Saint-Vincent project is one of the instruments developed by the town to reinvigorate commerce in the town center. The project will include a covered vegetable market and a number of shops. Hôtel Dieu In order to proactively anticipate the departure of national government services, the town wishes to promote and revitalize a symbol of the Blois heritage. Commercial road map The road map for commercial development federates the interested parties in their approaches to key issues and the development of concrete actions designed to reinforce the commercial attractiveness of Blois. Action cœur de ville / Town center dynamics “Action cœur de ville” is an initiative aimed at revitalizing the Blois center by boosting ongoing or upcoming town or Agglopolys projects. Lighting of the architectural heritage Major monuments will soon be specially illuminated. It’s one of the projects from “Action cœur de ville”, which aimed at revitalizing the Blois center New tourist office and Center of Résistance The tourist office, the Résistance center and the center of interpretation of architecture and heritage will soon be grouped together at the foot of the Château, offering an entranceway in keeping with the town’s potential and touristic ambitions. Redevelopment of the one-time psychiatric hospital Redevelopment of what used to be the Blois psychiatric hospital is a major project including a new housing offer, public spaces and parking lots at an enclosed site in the Vienne neighborhood. Urban renewal project of regional interest The urban renewal project of regional interest (PRUir) is aimed at improving daily comfort in the northern section of Blois. It represents the prolongation of an initial urban renewal project (PRU) that was completed in 2017 after 253 million euros had been invested. Le-Fur sports complex To meet the needs of schoolchildren and clubs and to address present-day social and ecological issues, the Honoré-de-Balzac sports complex is undergoing extensive renovation and rehabilitation. Town center-Loire development The town center-Loire development project (ACVL), now completed, was aimed at improving the quality of the public spaces of Blois, thereby reinforcing its residential, commercial and touristic attractiveness. Eco-exemplary Laplace neighborhood The Laplace neighborhood is a major project designed to create ecologically exemplary living space in Blois while fostering social and functional diversity: lodgings, offices, shops, gardens and a common housing project (habitat participatif).
